Liberal Democratic Party Of Germany

The Liberal Democratic Party of Germany (German: Liberaldemokratische Partei Deutschlands (LDPD)) was a political party in East Germany. Like the other parties in the National Front it had 52 representatives in the Volkskammer. Originally it was a liberal party, but after 1949 it had to obey communist rule. Around the German Reunification it returned to liberalism and merged with the Free Democratic Party.
