Let's Active

Let's Active was a jangle pop band based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. They comprised Mitch Easter (vocals/guitar), Faye Hunter (bass) and Sara Romweber (drums), though Easter wrote most of the songs and carried the band on following the departure of the other members. The band had limited commercial success and are mostly known thanks to Easter's connections with R.E.M. as the producer of their early albums. He was also a school-friend of Chris Stamey (of the dB's), forming a band known as the Sneakers. Following Easter's work with R.E.M., I.R.S. Records signed his band. They went on to release the Afoot EP, and the full-length Cypress and Big Plans for Everybody.
