Les Bulles is a small village in Belgium, part of the municipality of Chiny in the Gaume region. The village is located in the valley of the Semois river at the angle with its affluent the Vierre river. Historical information about Les Bulles is available from the 13th century and relating about its living. The strange name Les Bulles might have two possible origins :
  • From the French word 'burn' (brler). The term "brler" refers to the big fire done during the carnival period.
  • From the German word 'br' ('burias' meaning residence).
The people who live in the village are called "les Bulots" or "Les Bulaux".
