Lenka Reinerov

Lenka Reinerov (*1916 in Prague) is one of the last german writing czech writers.

Life

Since 1936 Lenka Reinerov wrote as a journalist. She fled to Paris in 1938, later to Morocco and Mexico. She returned to the Czech Republic after 1948. Within stalinistic supressions she was deported to the czech province and first rehabilitated in 1964. After the Prague Spring in 1968 she was pushed of the communist party. In 1999 she was awarded with the german literature-prize Schillerring.
