Len Cariou

Len Cariou (born September 30, 1939 in Saint Boniface, Manitoba) is a Canadian actor. Cariou is best known for his role as Sweeney Todd in the original 1979 production of the Stephen Sondheim musical: Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street. He has also had appearances onstage in the musicals Applause (1970), A Little Night Music (1973), and recently, in the Tony Award winning play Proof with Anne Heche, Mary-Louise Parker, and Jennifer Jason Lee. On film, Cariou can be seen in About Schmidt (2002), Thirteen Days (2000), Lady In White (1988), and also in television appearances such as The West Wing, Law And Order, The Practice and Murder She Wrote.
