Lee-on-the-solent
Lee-on-the-Solent
is a small seaside town in
Hampshire
about five miles west of
Portsmouth
, on the coast of the
Solent
. It is known best as being the location of the
Royal Naval
Air Station known as
HMS Daedalus
(previously known as HMS Ariel). It is often referred to simply as 'Lee-on-Solent'.
