Lebanon, New JerseyLebanon is a borough located in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 1,065. Geography Lebanon is located at 40°38'36" North, 74°49'55" West (40.643465, -74.831873). According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 2.3 km² (0.9 mi²). 2.3 km² (0.9 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water. Lebanon is an independent municipality located entirely within Clinton Township. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 1,065 people, 458 households, and 287 families residing in the borough. The population density is 472.6/km² (1,227.3/mi²). There are 477 housing units at an average density of 211.7/km² (549.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 95.40% White, 0.66% African American, 0.19% Native American, 3.10% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.38% from other races, and 0.28% from two or more races. 2.07% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 458 households out of which 30.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.4% are married couples living together, 9.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 37.3% are non-families. 33.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.33 and the average family size is 2.97. In the borough the population is spread out with 24.1% under the age of 18, 3.7% from 18 to 24, 35.1% from 25 to 44, 25.4% from 45 to 64, and 11.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 39 years. For every 100 females there are 92.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 82.4 males. The median income for a household in the borough is $68,542, and the median income for a family is $83,436. Males have a median income of $52,316 versus $37,396 for females. The per capita income for the borough is $34,066. 3.6% of the population and 0.7% of families are below the poverty line.
