Laurence Manning

Laurence Manning (January 1, 1899 - 1972) was a science fiction author who wrote The Man Who Awoke (1933). He was also a founder member of the American Rocket Society, serving as both president and editor. He gave up his successful writing career at the end of 1935, never to return to it apart from two short stories published in the mid 1950's.
