artist. Her
surrealist
alternative comics
detail a complex world where a pall of mystery, sexual intrigue and violent death hangs over the animal kingdom, outer space and suburban America alike. In terms of style, her detailed cross-hatching style aligns her with artists like
Robert Crumb
and
Tony Millionaire
. Weinstein was one of a number of artists who graduated from
Washington University
in
St. Louis
and moved to New York in the late '90s, among them
Patrick Smith
of
Vector Park
and
Dan Nadel

The Ganzfeld
. Her first comics appeared as syndicated strips in the
Seattle Stranger

gurl.com
. Her first solo comic, the
