Laser Pointer

A laser pointer is a product that includes a small, inexpensive laser in a portable, pen-shaped format. Laser pointers are used to highlight items of interest at some distance, for example during a presentation. Laser pointers also make an excellent cat toy, as most cats have an irresistible urge to chase the light of a laser pointer projected on the ground and moved around. It is however questionable if this is good for the mental health of the cat, because unlike normal chaseable toys, the cat never gets to actually catch the pointer. The sudden disappearance of the toy leaves the cat puzzled and frustrated. It is also used as sights on some hunting and military arms. Like all lasers, laser pointers should never be shone directly into the eyes of a person or animal.
