Langjkull

Langjkull is after the Vatnajkull second in extension under the glaciers of Iceland (1.021 km2). It is situated in the west of the Icelandic Interior or Highlands of Iceland and can be seen clearly from Haukadalur. Its highest peak reaches 1360 metres (4460 ft). The glacier is located at . Two of the bigger highland tracks are leading alongside this glacier: Kaldidalur Highland road and Kjlur Highland road. Kaldidalur is between Langjkull and the glacier Ok in the west, whereas Kjlur lies between Langjkull and Hofsjkull in the east. See also: Geography of Iceland
