Geography According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,201 km² (464 mi²). 1,194 km² (461 mi²) of it is land and 7 km² (3 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.60% water. There are 9,221 households out of which 32.00% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.40% are married couples living together, 8.90% have a female householder with no husband present, and 35.10% are non-families. 25.00% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.10% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
