La Vinotinto

La Vinotinto is Venezuela's national football team, so named because of the traditional wine red color uniform. The team itself has improved a lot in recent years considering that Venezuela never has been into a World Cup competition. Some analysts tend to say that CONMEBOL team Venezuela has a few chances of entering next World Cup but that the team has a lot to learn yet. Juan Arango is considered to be the best current player in the team, and gives a lot of support to his team mates. When playing home they usually rotate three local stadiums: Pueblo Nuevo, San Cristbal; Pachencha Romero, Maracaibo; and Estadio Olimpico, Caracas. National companies such as Empresas Polar and Telephone suppliers CANTV have been giving a lot of financial aid to the team and to the sport itself. The government amazingly is not very keen into financing these kind of activities.
