L. Shankar

Lakshminarayana Shankar (commonly known as L. Shankar) is an Indian violinist, trained in the classical Carnatic music tradition of southern India, but settled in the US and better known for jazz and fusion works. He came to prominence as a member of Shakti with John McLaughlin. He is the brother of L. Subramaniam, but no relation to Ravi Shankar.
