L'auberge Espagnole

L'Auberge espagnole (Translated into English as The Spanish Inn or The Spanish Apartment) is a 2002 film directed and written by Cdric Klapisch. It is about Xavier (played by Romain Duris), an Economics graduate student studying for a year in Barcelona, where he encounters and befriends group of students from all over Europe. The marketing for the film deceptively tends to focus on Audrey Tautou, despite the fact that she only plays a relatively small supporting role in the film. Klapisch has started filming the sequel Les Poupes russes (Russian Dolls.)
