Kvitsoy-tower

Kvitsoy-Tower is the name for the aerial tower of the 1200 kilowatt transmitter of the broadcasting company of Norway for the frequency 1314 kHz, which was built in 1981/82. Kvitsoy-Tower is a 117.5 metre high free standing grounded steel framework construction, which carries on crossbars on its top and in a height of 67.5 metres cables for a medium wave aerial, which are spun parallel to the tower construction. The aerial cables hanging on the lower crossbar are fixed with anchors at the ground.
