Kunai Grass

Kunai grass (Imperata cylindrica) is the Tok Pisin name of a grass commonly found in Papua New Guinea. The grass is used for thatching the roofs of traditional homes. Walking through the grass without trousers is not recommended as the blades are sharply serrated and will cut bare skin.
