Kor District

The District of Kor (Albanian: Rrethi i Kors), is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania. It has a population of 194,000 (2004 estimate),

Geography

It has an area of 2,180 km, being the second-largest district in Albania. It lies in the southeastern part of Albania in the County of Kor, from lat. 40.45/4027'N to lat. 40.95/4057'N and from long. 21.0833/214'E to 20.31667/2019'E, and its capital is Kor. It is bordered by Pogradec and the Republic of Macedonia to the north, by Greece with the Greek prefecture of Florina to the east, Devoll to the southeast, by Kolonj and Prmet to the southwest, and by Gramsh and Skrapar on the west. Other towns in this district include Maliq.
