Koosh Ball

The Koosh ball is a toy created in 1987 by engineer, Scott Stillinger. It was originally designed to teach children how to play catch because regular balls were usually too large for small hands. The rubber bands that were used to form the koosh ball could easly be grabbed. Because of its pleasant tactile feel, the koosh ball was almost as popular with adults as it was with children. The name "koosh" was chosen because of the sound it made when it landed. The koosh ball came in three sizes, lots of colors, and was a big fad for several years in the late 80's and early 90's. The Koosh ball is manufactured by OddzOn Products which is a subsidiary of Hasbro.
