Knockout Gas

Knockout gas is a fictional substance used in certain types of stories. It is persented in various forms but generally provides a harmless way of rendering characters unconscious. Knockout gas is usually found in science fiction stories and is also a staple of pulp fiction. Some characters known for their use of knockout gas are Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Batman, and The Avenger.
