KingshantsKings—Hants is the name of a federal electoral district in Nova Scotia, Canada. Its population is 79,286. (2001) Largely poor and rural it is a fairly conservative riding, but more in the Red Tory tradition of the rest of the Martimes with a strong concern for social programs. The area is 4,440 sq. km. History The electoral district was created in 1976 from Annapolis Valley and from Halifax-East Hants and was known as Annapolis Valley-Hants until 1996.
