King's Bench

One of the ancient courts of England, the King's Bench (or Queen's Bench when the monarch is female) is now a division of the High Court of Justice of England and Wales. Sub-divisions include the Commercial Court, the Admiralty Court and the Administrative Court. The former Court of Queen's Bench became the Queen's Bench Division of the High Court of Justice in 1873. It is also the name of higher courts throughout the British Commonwealth.
