Kilohertz

A kilohertz (kHz) is a unit of frequency equal to 1,000 hertz (1,000 cycles per second). kHz is most commonly used in reference to radio frequencies and audio signal processing. The name kilocycle is an obsolete name for the same concept. hectohertz << kilohertz << megahertz
