Kendriya Vidyalaya

Kendriya Vidyalaya, (Hindi for Central School) is a system of central government supported schools for employees of India's central government employees' children. It came into being in 1962. The uniformity of syllabi followed all over India ensures that the wards of government employees would not face difficulties owing to curriculum change while their government-employed parent (with family) are transferred from one place to another. Every Indian embassy abroad has one school of this type for the wards of the embassy officials and expatriate Indian population, whose one parent is a government employee. In this "huge family" unlike a public (really private) school, no discrimination is made between the child of a top government official and that of a lowly placed government employee. In more ways than one, this school system facilitates national integration and socialism at the grassroot level.

Its alumni can be found all over the world. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education , Delhi.
