Kendell

Kendell was a major regional airline in Australia, which folded when its parent, Ansett collapsed in 2001. Kendell airlines was founded in 1966 by Don Kendell as a Charter airline, with a Piper Apache and two Piper Cherokees. In 1974, the airline acquired a Riley Heron and started operating revenue flights. In 2002, Kendell, and fellow Ansett subsidiary, Hazelton, was sold to a consortium known as Australiawide Airlines. In August 2002, Hazelton and Kendell, under new ownership, merged to create Regional Express.
