keith windschuttle

Keith Windschuttle (born 1942) is a right-wing Australian historian and journalist who is the author of several books, including The Killing of History (1994) and The Fabrication of Aboriginal History (2002) which disputes current historical views on Australian history. After receiving his formal education at Canterbury Boys High School, Windschuttle completed a BA with honours in Journalism at the University of Sydney in 1969. In 1973, he started his tenure as lecturer in Australian history at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Between 1977 and 1981, Windschuttle taught history and journalism at the University of Technology, Sydney before returning to UNSW in 1983 to lecture on history and social policy. A frequent contributer to socio-political magazines Quadrant and The New Criterion, Windschuttle's recent research disputes whether the colonial settlers of Australia committed widespread genocide against the Australian Aborigines.
