Kattalagar koil is located in southern hills (meru malai) of tamilnadu about 17 KM from Srivilliputhur(Birthplace of ANDAL)... It has a famous thirtham(spring of water) which flows in all season without stopping and also at same speed and level.... U have to walk 7 kms through jungles to reach the top..Temple can be reached from there after climbing 247 steps... The temple deity was nothing but Alagar of Madurai came here to relieve Sudaba muni from his Manduka(frog) body.... Backyard of temple have huge mountains and one of them resembles like face of Perumal (Lord Vishnu) and other one like Frog... There was a bus service at morning 5.30 from srivillputhur...temple will be opened only on weekends (sat and Sun)
