Kate Pierson

Kate Pierson (born 28 April 1948) is one of the lead singers of The B-52's. She also has played keyboard and guitar for the band. She has collaborated with Iggy Pop, R.E.M., the Ramones and Matthew Sweet. She was also a member of NiNA, a Japanese supergroup. She played in Athens, GA, and soon the club scene in New York City, with the B-52's at the same time as such bands as the Indigo Girls and R.E.M. Pierson, Kate
