karga

Karga the Hero is a mythical Kilrathi figure in the Wing Commander video game and science fiction series. According to legend, Karga was a Kilrathi warrior who honored a warrior by accepting his challenge to battle. To the Kilrathi, to refuse such a challenge would be considered cowardly, but Karga, physically larger and stronger, vastly outmatched his opponent. Nevertheless, he allowed the warrior to duel him rather than consign him to disgrace and scorn. Terran Confederation Admiral Vance Richards later interpreted the story as the Kilrathi version of David vs. Goliath, except that Goliath beats David to a bloody pulp. Karga's name was given to the Bhantkara-class carrier KIS Karga.
