Kareena Kapoor

Kareena Kapoor (born September 21, 1980) is an actress in Hindi films (also known as Bollywood). She is the granddaughter of Raj Kapoor (legendary actor in India), daughter of Randhir Kapoor (great actor) and Babita. Her sister Karisma Kapoor (popular Bollywood actress) did a lot to promote her in this industry. Her first movie was Refugee released in 2000 along with Abhishekh Bachhan in it. It did not do much for her career but it did won her the Best Debut Award from Filmfare. Her second movie Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai was a blockbuster and made her a star within a night. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was her last release in 2001 which was one of Bollywood's biggest movie overseas. This movie didn't have a big role for her but it proved to be a boost for her career and then, she was fluttered with innumerable offers. She still has 6 to 7 years more to go in this industry until she gets married. She is currently dating Shahid Kapoor (a new star). Kareena Kapoor, by some, is considered a loud-mouth gasconading actress, but yet still manages to have a lucrative career in Bollywood. Yes, she retorts that she is the most misunderstood person in the industry. Although Karisma Kapoor was scandalous in her time in Bollywood, she is much more alike. She is discussed daily in controversial issues in the newspapers. But her fair skin, light brown eyes, and several different hairstyles a day makes her a favorite amongst the Indian audience. She is partly Punjabi and partly Sindhi. Her mother Babita and aunt Sadhana were both Bollywood actresses. At first she stuck to non-meaningful roles but is now doing more of performance-oriented roles which has brought her much more acclaim from the critics. Her movie "Chameli" brought her a Special Performance Award from the Filmfare in the year 2003. Kareena Kapoor could've been at the very top right now. She refused to do "Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai" as her debut film which was the Best Film of the year 2000. Later on, she had a quarrel with the producer Karan Johar who wanted to cast her in "Kal Ho Naa Ho" (Best Film 2003) but they couldn't negotiate a fair price. Nevertheless, she has signed on with new contracts for her upcoming movies with big banners. Let's wish her all the best for her future!
