Karak District

Karak District is situated in the South of District Kohat and on the North Side of District Bannu. Before 1982 it was a part of District Kohat. But since July 1, 1982 it has been an independent district. Karak is the Capital of the District.

  • On the South Side District Bannu and Lakki Marwat are situated.
  • On the East Side District Mainwali and Kohat are situated.
  • On the West Side District Kohat and Bannu are situated.
  • In the complete District Karak, there lives only one tribe, the Tribe of Khattaks (One of the Famous Tribe of Pathans).
