Kapisa

Kapisa is one of 34 provinces in Afghanistan. its centre is Mahmood-Raqi and other districts include Kohistan, Nigrab and Tagab. The population of Kapisa is estimated 270,000 head although there has never been an official figure. The area of this province is 1871 SqKm, this means that for every single head there is 7Sqm of land.

Economy

Agriculture is the most general and usual mean of sustainance. Trades are made between the people in a very antient way of exchanging commudities, in the trade days (once a week) called 'Mila' which means party but is interpreted as large gathering of people, having fun together with trade.

Amenities

There is one hospital in the Province, one huge textile company which is destroyed during the Soviet ivasion of Afghanistan, one cinema which is also destroyed. Recently an University called Albiruny is established which have major faculties, including engineering, medicine, law and letrature. The number of girls school was very limited, but it is increasing with cooprations of Charity NGOs.
