Kaohsiung International Airport

Kaohsiung International Airport is located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Republic of China. It currently has two terminals and its IATA Airport Code is KHH. Originally built by the Japanese, "Kaohsiung Airport" was utilized as an Air Force base when ROC government took over the Taiwan island. Due to the need of a civilian airport in southern Taiwan, it was converted and expanded as a domestic airport in 1965. In 1969, it was further upgraded as "Kaohsiung International Airport", but it wasn't until 1972 that it started transporting international passengers.
