jung-suk ryu

Jung-Suk Ryu (born 1985) became a star candidate in the 2004 municipal elections in Edmonton, Alberta. At the age of 19, he was the youngest candidate to throw his hat into the race. Through a polished speaking style, appearances at numerous public and media events, as well as leadership experience and solid knowledge of the issues, Ryu was widely expected to be a contender for the race before a series of embarassing fibs caught up in his campaign. He came through with over 5% of the votes, with 3,817 votes.
