Jung Chang

Jung Chang (张戎, born 1952) is the British-Chinese author of several books, including Mao Zedong (2005), (1986), and the award-winning autobiography Wild Swans (1991). She was born in Yibin, Sichuan Province, China, and worked as assistant lecturer at Sichuan University. She received a Ph.D. from York University, becoming the first person from People's Republic of China ever to be awarded a Ph.D. at a foreign university. Chang currently lives in London.
