Julius Petersen

Julius Peter Christian Petersen (June 16, 1839 - August 5, 1910) was a Danish mathematician. He made early contributions to the field of graph theory. In 1892, he proposed a graph, known today as the "Petersen Graph". He published a systematic treatment of geometrical constructions (with compasses and straightedge) in 1880.
