judge mcgruder

Judge McGruder is a fictional character in the Judge Dredd stories published in the comic book 2000 AD. She was first female Chief Judge of Mega-City One, and the first Judge to become Chief Judge twice. McGruder was the Judge in charge of the dreaded SJS before she rose to power shortly after the Apocalypse War when Chief Judge Griffin was killed. She resigned four years later following the Seven Samurai incident, and took the Long Walk into the Cursed Earth. She returned to help Judge Dredd fight the Dark Judges in the Necropolis crisis, and was subsequently re-elected as Chief Judge.
