Judge Jules

Judge Jules is a well known UK dance music DJ. Born Julius O'Riordan, his stage name originates from the fact that he was originally trained to be a lawyer at the prestigious London School of Economics. His dj-ing roots started on pirate radio station Kiss FM before he joined BBC Radio 1 where he now has a regular Saturday night slot. He also works as a producer under the name HiGate with Yomanda (Paul Masterson) and has his own weekly night in Ibiza at Eden called Judgement Sunday. He is married to Amanda, who is the lead singer of dance act Angelic and has a son. Judge Jules is responsible for launching many huge trance tunes and acts in the UK through his show and is a pioneer for commercial contemporary dance music. In 1998, he was voted 3rd in a list of the world's 150 greatest DJs.
