Joseph Robbie

Joseph "Joe" Robbie (July 7, 1916 - January 7, 1990) was an American lawyer and entrepreneur. Robbie was the original owner of Miami Dolphins (1966-90). He, along with Don Shula, led the Dolphins to an incomparable 14-0 perfect season and two consecutive Super Bowl wins. Additionally, he built the $115-million Joe Robbie Stadium (renamed Pro Player Stadium, then again changed to current name of Dolphins Stadium) with private funds in 1987.
