Josef Skvorecky

Josef Skvorecky (born September 27, 1924 in Nchod, Czechoslovakia) is a famous contemporary Czech writer and publisher. Skvorecky received a Ph.D. from Charles University in Prague. He has lived in Toronto, Ontario, Canada since 1969. In 1992 he was made a Member of the Order of Canada.
