Jos Reyes

Jos Bernab Reyes (born June 11, 1983 in Villa Gonzlez, Dominican Republic) is a Major League Baseball shortstop who has played for the New York Mets since 2003. He bats switch-hitter and throws right-handed. Reyes is a slick-fielding, speedy infield talent. Prior to the 2004 season he was moved to second base upon the signing of Japanese star Kazuo Matsui to a major league contract. By the end of 2004, he was switched back to shortstop after Matsui failed to perform as well as expected at the position. Reyes is a .283 hitter with seven home runs and 46 RBI in 146 games.
