Jonathan FranzenJonathan Franzen (born August 17, 1959) is a USA novelist and essayist. Franzen's The Corrections, a novel of social criticism, garnered considerable critical acclaim in the United States. Publicity surrounding the book drew him into a well-publicized spat with television talk show hostess Oprah Winfrey, who cancelled an interview with Franzen after he published an article about his experiences with one of her production teams.
