John Thomas (Christadelphian)Dr John Thomas (April 12, 1805 - March 5, 1871 ) was the founder of the Christian sect known as the Christadelphians. He was born in London, England but in 1832, after studying medicine in London, emigrated to Brooklyn, N.Y., in the United States. There he soon attracted a following for his religious ideas. He preached largely upon the application of Hebrew prophecy and of the Book of Revelation to current and future events. The group grew throughout his lifetime and return visits to England founded it there as well. Thomas published several magazines to promote his idea of Christainity and his books "Elpis Israel" and "Eureka" were important in gaining him converts. External link Thomas, John Thomas, John
