John Metcalf

John Metcalf (born November 12, 1938) is a Canadian writer/editor. Born in Carlisle, England he was educated at Bristol University, receiving his BA in 1960 and a Certificate in Education in 1961. He moved to Montreal in 1962 to teach high school. In 1970 he became a Canadian citizen. In 2004 he was made a member of the Order of Canada.
