John I, Count Of LuxemburgJohn the Blind of Luxemburg (August 10, 1296 - August 26, 1346) was King of Bohemia and Count of Luxemburg. He was the eldest son of the Holy Roman Emperor Henry VII of Luxemburg and his wife Margaret of Brabant. In 1310 John married Elizabeth of Bohemia and thereby became king of Bohemia. He retained his crown even after her death in 1330. He then married Beatrix, daughter of Louis I, Duke of Bourbon. He was killed fighting (though blind!) alongside the French against the English at the Battle of Crecy, and was succeeded as king of Bohemia by his eldest son Charles I (later Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor). His children by Elizabeth of Bohemia were: - Margaret, (1313-1341), who married Henry Duke of Upper Bavaria

- Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor (1316-1378), King of Bohemia
- Otakar "Otto" (1318-1320), Prince of Bohemia
- Anna (1319-1328), Princess of Bohemia, Twin of Elizabeth
- Elizabeth (1319-1344), Twin of Anna, married Albert III, Duke of Austria
- Jan Jindrich "John Henry" (1322-1375), margrave of Moravia
By Beatrix of Bourbon he had one son: John I, Count of Luxemburg John I, Count of Luxemburg
