John Hansen (Football)

John Hansen was a Scottish footballer with the club Partick Thistle F.C.. The older brother of the more noted player Alan Hansen (who also began his career with Thistle), John played as a right-back and was part of the team that defeated Celtic F.C. 4-1 in the 1971 Scottish League Cup final. A talented player, John Hansen won two caps for the Scotland national football team against Yugoslavia and Belgium. He had to retire and end his career when he sustained a leg injury.
