Pennsylvania
(U.S.) in the 1830s and designed several famous bridges, including the
Brooklyn Bridge

Niagara Railway Suspension Bridge

John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge
. His son
Washington Roebling
continued his work; his great-grandson,
Donald Roebling
was a noted philanthropist and inventor who devised the
amphtrack
