Joe Morello (born July 17, 1929) is a jazz drummer perhaps best known for his years with Dave Brubeck. Morello was born in Springfield, Massachusetts. He had health problems throughout his career as a professional musician, especially with his back and eyesight. He is mainly known for playing extremely polyrhythmic patterns in odd time signatures.
