Joe Baca

Joe Baca (born January 23 1947), American politician, has been a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives since 1999, representing the 43rd District of California (map). He was born in Belen, New Mexico, the youngest of 15 children, was educated at California State University, served in the United States Army, and was a corporate public relations officer and a member of the California State Assembly until 1999 when he left to enter the House. Baca's son, Joe, Jr., won his father's old seat in the California State Assembly in 2004.
