Jimmy Mcmullan

Jimmy McMullan, (March 26 1895-November 28 1964) was a Scotish football player and manager. McMullan won 16 Scotland caps as a player at half-back. He won the Second Division title with Manchester City in 1928. He was the first ever manager of Aston Villa in 1936. Before his appointment the team was selected by the Board of Directors. However Aston Villa were relegated for the first time in their history at the end of McMullan's first season, as a consequence he was sacked. He later managed Notts County and Sheffield Wednesday.
